Begin with a visit to a local studio, where you will participate in making traditional kamaboko fish cake using local techniques and ingredients. This interactive experience offers insight into an important part of Japanese food culture and allows guests to enjoy their freshly prepared creation. Continue with a brief stop at Tanabe Castle Ruins, where history comes to life in the setting of a former samurai stronghold. The tour concludes with free time at Toretore Center Seafood Market, where fresh seafood, regional delicacies, and local products showcase the rich culinary heritage of the Sea of Japan.

Need to Know:

Note: This tour includes approximately one hour of moderate walking on flat terrain. It is partially available to guests who utilize a collapsible wheelchair, can make their own way on and off the coach, and have a companion to assist them; however, the kamaboko experience venue is not wheelchair accessible due to space limitations. Coaches do not have lifts. The order of the sites visited may vary. Free time at the market is unguided. Guests are encouraged to bring Japanese yen, as credit cards may not be accepted at all vendors.
